How It All Began

Kent McCown Group began as a partnership between Bill McCown and Corrie Kent, built on shared values and a belief that real estate should feel personal.

Corrie brought years of experience in real estate along with a deep understanding of the market and the process of helping clients navigate one of life’s biggest decisions. Bill brought a genuine passion for serving people and building lasting relationships within the community.

Together, they created a team grounded in trust, collaboration, and doing what’s right for clients.

The name Kent McCown Group reflects those beginnings. At the time, Corrie was Corrie Kent, and the partnership between Kent and McCown became the foundation of the brand and the culture that still defines the team today.

A large part of what Kent McCown Group has become today is because of the guidance, mentorship, and leadership Bill McCown poured into the early years of the team.

His heart for people and commitment to relationships helped shape the culture of the team and the way we approach our work every day. The values of kindness, integrity, and relationship-first service that clients experience today are deeply connected to the foundation he helped build.

Carrying the Legacy Forward

While seasons change, the heart of Kent McCown Group remains the same.

Today, Corrie continues to lead the team with the same values that shaped its beginning, serving clients with clarity, care, and a deep connection to the communities we call home.

As the team has grown, so has the leadership behind it. Megan Wysopal later joined the team as Buyer Agent. When Bill moved to the Alabama Coast, Megan, became Corrie’s business partner, bringing her own dedication to service, professionalism, and client relationships. Together, they continue to carry forward the values that Kent McCown Group was built on.

Corrie later married and became Corrie Kent Green, but the name Kent McCown Group remains a tribute to the partnership and foundation that started it all.

Ultimately, our legacy isn’t measured by numbers or transactions. It’s measured by the relationships we build, the trust we earn, and the lives we’re honored to be part of along the way.
